School Board Meeting Moved

RANDOLPH — The Randolph Central School District Board of Education meeting scheduled for today has been moved to Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 6 p.m. in the high school library. The public is welcome to attend.

Water Main Break Occurred Tuesday In City

Crews with the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities began repairing a water main break that occurred Tuesday afternoon on Baker Street between Winch and Shadyside. Water has been turned off for repairs on Baker Street west of Shadyside to Big Tree Road and on Winch between Hunt and Baker. Discolored water may appear for customers.

Christmas Bazaar To Be Held Fri.

MAYVILLE — The Altar and Rosary Society of St. Mary of Lourdes in Mayville will be holding its annual Christmas bazaar and lunch on Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature chicken and biscuits, cranberry sauce, homemade pie and a beverage. Take-outs will be available by calling 753-2318 on Friday morning. The cost is $10 per meal. The society also invites the public to browse the Cookie Shoppe where homemade Christmas cookies will be available. Parish youth will also have a booth selling baked goods and gifts. Proceeds from the event will benefit church projects.

Improvement Project Vote Set

WESTFIELD — Residents of the Westfield Academy and Central School District can vote on the Capital Improvement Project on Thursday from noon-8 p.m. in the gymnasium foyer. In the event that the school is closed on Thursday due to weather, the vote will take place on Friday during the same hours.

‘Homestead For The Holidays’ Event Saturday

GERRY — Heritage and Homestead Stables will host its second annual “Homestead for the Holidays” event Saturday from 12:30-4:30 p.m. at Homestead Stables, 4633 Damon Hill Road, Gerry. The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature horse drawn carriage rides, children’s activities, Santa and Mrs. Claus, a therapeutic riding demonstration, entertainment, refreshments, home tours and a presentations by noted equestrian Luke Gingerich. SWCS Collecting Donations For St. Susan Center

Southwestern Central School District’s girls’ basketball teams are collecting cans for the St. Susan Center of Jamestown on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Raymour and Flanigan on Fairmount Avenue, and the public is invited to contribute. The lady Trojans have a goal of 1,000 cans. The community’s donations will help those in need this holiday season.

Spaghetti Dinner To Be Held Sat.

The Marco Polo Club, 1027 E. Second St., Jamestown, will host a spaghetti dinner Saturday from 4-7 p.m. The cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children. The public is welcome to attend, and carryouts will be available.
