TRC To Host Extravaganza

CELORON — The Resource Center will hold its Toys For Tots Holiday Shopping Extravaganza on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 200 Dunham Ave., Celoron. Parking will be in the rear lot on Allegheny Avenue. The event will include local crafters and vendors, and food will be available for purchase. Proceeds will benefit the Marine Toys for Tots drive and will be used to support local families.

Ag Board To Meet In Mayville

The Chautauqua County Agriculture and Farmland Protection Board will meet Wednesday, Dec. 4, in Room 331 of the Gerace Office Building, 3 N. Erie St., Mayville. For more information call Melissa Keller at 753-4066.

Committee Not Taking Memorials

FALCONER — The Eye on the Future of Falconer Committee is announcing that due to extenuating circumstances the committee will not be taking memorials for the annual Memorial Tree this year. Committee members said they appreciate the support it has received over the past nine years and will be looking forward to continuing the tradition again in 2020.

Mobile Pantry To Be In Ashville

ASHVILLE — The Food Bank of Western New York Mobile Pantry Truck from Buffalo will be at the Ashville United Methodist Church today from 10 a.m. to noon and 3-5 p.m. The truck brings fresh produce and some staple items. To receive free food, proof of address from the following ZIP codes is required: Ashville 14710, Bemus Point 14712, Celoron 14720, Lakewood 14750, Niobe 14758, Panama 14767, Stow 14785 and anyone who lives in the town of Busti. Celebration Event Planned Dec. 7

Cassadaga’s second annual “Light Up Celebration” will be held Saturday, Dec. 7. A community Carol Sing is planned for 2 p.m. in the Village Community Center on Mill Street. Santa arrives by fire truck at the Village Common at the corner of Route 60 and Maple Avenue at 3 p.m. He will greet all with hot chocolate and a gift until 5 p.m. Crafts, cookies and free books will be available at the Cassadaga Branch Library from 3-5 p.m. The lighting up of the Village Common will be held at 5 p.m. with carols and a Remembrance Tree ceremony.

Students To Perform Recital

Music and performing arts students from Infinity Visual and Performing Arts will be putting on a holiday recital at the Infinity Arts Cafe on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 6 p.m. The event is open to the public. Audience members of all ages are welcome. The Infinity Arts Cafe performance entrance is located at 300 E. Third St., Jamestown.

Fire Auxiliary To Hold Bazaar

The Chautauqua Fire Auxiliary will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar at Smith Memorial Library on Miller Avenue in Chautauqua Institution. Hours of the sale are Friday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Baskets will be available along with baked goods, jewelry, festive greens, hand-crafted items, glassware, books and other gift items.
