School Bus Fuel Lines Damaged, Gas Is Stolen

YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police are looking for the person who took about 45 gallons of gas from two school buses in Warren County. The incident took place between Nov. 8 and Nov. 11 in Youngsville, Pa. Troopers say an unknown person damaged the fuel lines of two Johnson Transportation buses and left with the gas. Anyone with information is asked to call the state police at (814) 728-3600.

Holiday Bingo Set For Thursday

The Winifred Crawford Dibert Boys and Girls Club is holding it’s second annual Holiday Family Bingo on Thursday from 6-7:30 p.m. in the club community room, 62 Allen St. Special drawings will be held to win Christmas trees and turkeys. A meal including pizza and holiday cookies will be served. The event is free to families.

Busti VFD Aux. To Hold Meeting

BUSTI — The Busti Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will meet at 7 p.m. today at the Busti Fire Hall. The group will make plans for Christmas baskets and the auxiliary Christmas party in December.

Library Board Meets Wed.

BEMUS POINT — The Bemus Point Library Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the library.

Shared Services Panel To Meet

The Chautauqua County Shared Services Initiative Panel will meet on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the See-Zurh House, located at 14 Main St., Bemus Point. For more information, call the Chautauqua County executive’s office at 753-4672.

Holiday Party Set At Rod And Gun

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood Rod and Gun Auxiliary will be holding its annual Christmas dinner party on Monday, Dec. 9, at 6 p.m. Menu choices are lobster dainties, stuffed chicken breast or prime rib. Members and one guest are invited to attend. Entertainment will be the Kokomo Time Band. There will also be a collection for new unwrapped toys for the “Toys for Tots” program. VFW To Host Meat Giveaway

The John W. Tiffany Post 53 Jamestown V.F.W. will host its annual meat giveaway on Saturday, at 4 p.m. at the Jamestown Veteran’s Club (ILS Club) located at 364 Fluvanna Ave. The event will feature several giveaways, including, steaks, shrimp, pork roasts and ham. Members and guests are welcome to attend.

Historical Society Sets High Tea

WESTFIELD — The Chautauqua County Historical Society will be hosting a Holiday High Tea at the historic McClurg Mansion in Moore Park, Westfield, on Saturday, as part of the annual Christmas in the Village series of events. “Patrons may feel as though they have stepped back in time as they enjoy delightful and delectable sandwiches, savories, sweets and beverages while basking in the rich and beautiful ambiance of the mansion,” the group said. Tea will be served from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. The cost is $15 and no reservations needed.
