Band To Perform Wednesday

FREDONIA — The New Horizons Band of Western New York will be performing its Fall Concert on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in Harry A. King Concert Hall on the SUNY Fredonia campus. The concert is free to attend.

School Board To Meet Tuesday

The Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the old gym at Fletcher Elementary School, 301 Cole Ave., Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend.

Elks Lodge To Serve Breakfast For Veterans

The Jamestown Elks Lodge will be serving breakfast to all veterans Monday, Nov. 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. All veterans are welcome to attend.

Rabies Clinic

Set Saturday

The Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services Division of Public Health has announced the final free rabies vaccination clinic for 2019 in Chautauqua County. The clinic will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Jamestown Fire Training Center, 240 Harrison St. in Jamestown. This clinic is sponsored by the city of Jamestown and Dr. Gregory Hoyt will be the attending veterinarian. Vaccinations will be provided free of charge to all dogs, cats and domesticated ferrets three months of age and older. All pets must be on a leash or in a cage and pet owners should bring rabies vaccination records for each animal that will be receiving a shot to ensure proper and effective vaccination.

Rod And Gun Auxiliary Board To Meet Thurs.

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood Rod and Gun Auxiliary Board will meet Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The monthly auxiliary meeting will be held Monday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. The election of officers will take place at that time. Members may invite a guest to come and enjoy these talented authors. Greeters will be Mary Alonge and Sharon Purdy. Helpers are Jan DeVoe and Nancy Rasmussen. Sandy Carlson and Connie Whitman are in charge of refreshments. The annual Christmas dinner will take place Dec. 9 at 6 p.m. Dinner choices are lobster dainties, stuffed chicken breast or prime rib. Election Dinner To Be Held Tues.

KENNEDY — The Kennedy Free Library is holding its annual Election Day dinner Tuesday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in the Kennedy United Methodist Church fellowship hall. The meal will be a ham dinner with sides, beverage and choice of dessert. The cost is $9 for adults, $5 for children under 12. There is no charge for those over the age of 90 or under the age of 3.

Historical Society To Meet Tues.

CASSADAGA — The Valley Historical Society will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Cassadaga American Legion. The speaker will be Amanda Shepp speaking on “Colonel Bob, Robert Burns, and the early days of Lily Dale.” Officers for 2020 will be nominated with voting to take place at the December meeting. Refreshments will be served after the meeting. All persons interested in local history are invited to attend.
