Workshop For Caregivers Is Set

Chautauqua Opportunities, Inc.’s Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Program is presenting a workshop for caregivers about the difficulties of communication with someone who has Alzheimer’s disease or other related dementia. The workshop will be held Wednesday, Nov. 13, at James Prendergast Library from 6-7 p.m. and will focus on how to prepare and respond to the challenges of declining communication skills as the disease progresses. N. Harmony Sets Halloween Hours

STOW — North Harmony Town Court; the town clerk and code enforcement offices will be closed for Thursday evening hours this week. Also, Halloween trick-or-treating hours in North Harmony are from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday.

Trunk Or Treat To Be Thursday

Lighthouse Baptist Church, 381 Camp St., Jamestown, will host a “Trunk or Treat” event on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. in the church parking lot. The public is welcome to attend.

Library To Hold Fall Book Sale

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood Memorial Library will be hosting a fall book sale on Nov. 7-9 during regular library hours. Hardbound books will be $1. Paperbacks, children’s books and books on tape will be three for $1 or 50 cents each. DVDs and CDs will be $1. Magazines will be sold at 10 cents each. Special books may be more. A bag sale will be held Nov. 9 with a bag costing $2; the library will provide the bag. For more information, visit lakewoodlibrary.org.

DEWITTVILLE — The Dewittville-Hartfield United Methodist Church will host a free harvest dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday. The church is located at corner of Route 430 and Meadows Road in Dewittville. The public is welcome to attend.

Quilters, Crafters To Meet Nov. 4

ELLINGTON — Quilters and Crafters will meet at Ellington Farman Library on Monday, Nov. 4, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The craft time is the first and third Mondays each month. There is no fees or registration, and is open to the public. The Library is located at 760 Thornton Road, the former Lock, Stock, and Barrel on the Town Square and is handicap accessible.
