Falconer Village Board Special Meeting Set Tues.

FALCONER — The Falconer Village Board will hold a special meeting Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Community Building Board Room, 101 W. Main Street, Falconer. The meeting is to review a correspondence for the Falconer Fire Department.

Meet And Greet Scheduled Nov. 2

BUSTI — The Busti Republican Committee is hosting a meet and greet for Republican candidates from the town of Busti and village of Lakewood from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 2, at Betsy’s 5 Corners Kitchen, 897 Southwestern Drive, Busti. The public is welcome to attend.

Trunk-Or-Treat To Be Held Thurs.

LAKEWOOD — The third annual Trunk-or-Treat co-hosted by Church on the Rock and Lakewood Baptist Church will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the Lakewood Baptist Church parking lot. Car trunks will be decorated. There will be free popcorn and donuts. Organizers are still looking for trunks, to register, email kcollver@lakewoodbaptistny.com.

Mobile Pantry To Be At Ashville UM

ASHVILLE — The Food Bank of Western New York Mobile Pantry Truck from Buffalo will be at the Ashville United Methodist Church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon and 3-5 p.m. The truck brings fresh produce and some staple items. To receive free food, proof of address from the following ZIP codes is required: Ashville 14710, Bemus Point 14712, Celoron 14720, Lakewood 14750, Niobe 14758, Panama 14767, Stow 14785 and anyone who lives in the town of Busti. Comprehensive Plan Committee To Meet Nov. 5

FALCONER — The Falconer Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee will meet on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 5:30 p.m. to make final revisions to the village’s Comprehensive Plan. Immediately following the meeting, the Village Planning Board, along with the Steering Committee, will review a first draft of the Village Code updates presented by Ingall’s Planning and Design. The meeting will be held in the Falconer Public Library, 101 W. Main St,, Falconer, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

JCC To Show Films From Series In November

Two films will be shown during Jamestown Community College’s Our Planet, Our Choice film series in November. The films, sponsored by JCC’s sustainability committee and Earth Awareness Club, are free and open to the public. Films begin at 7 p.m. in the Carnahan Center Theatre. A Fierce Green Fire: The Battle for a Living Planet will be shown on Nov. 5. The film explores the environmental movement — grassroots and global activism — spanning 50 years. Tomorrow, an acclaimed documentary showcasing alternative and creative ways of viewing agriculture, economics, energy and education, will be shown on Nov. 19.
