Kids Wrestling Signups Set

FALCONER – Falconer Kids Wrestling will be holding signups in the Falconer High School gym lobby on Nov. 5 and 6 from 6:30-8 p.m. Any child in kindergarten through sixth grade is encouraged to attend.

Food Pantry Is Open Saturday

KENNEDY — The Kennedy First United Methodist Church Food Pantry and Children’s Clothing Closet serving Falconer School District residents is open this Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. The pantry strives to provide each family with two to three days of food, but is limited to type depending on the food donations that have been received. The pantry is stocked through individual and group food and monetary donations. The clothing closet provides children’s clothing birth-teen sizes. For more information, call 267-2645. The church is located at the corner of Church and Second streets in Kennedy across from the Town Hall and post office and is handicap accessible through the lower side door.

Weavers Guild Meets Saturday

WESTFIELD — The Chautauqua County Weavers Guild will hold its next meeting Saturday at 10 a.m. at the YWCA in Westfield. The program will be double weave structures. Anyone interested in weaving or the guild is welcome to attend. For more information, contact the guild at ccweaversguild@gmail.com.

Legion To Hold Costume Party

On Saturday, the Herman Kent Post Legion will host The Untouchables. A Halloween costume party and meat giveaway will also be held Saturday. The public is welcome to attend.

Church Sets Fall Lunch Nov. 13

WESTFIELD — The Altar and Rosary Society of St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church, 17 Union St., Westfield, will be holding its annual fall “Soup & Sandwich” luncheon on Wednesday, Nov. 13, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parish hall. Besides the homemade soups there will be a variety of desserts and beverages for $6. Call 736-6380 with any questions.

Smart Driver Class To Be Held

Little Valley United Methodist Church will be hosting an AARP six-hour Smart Driver Class on Nov. 5 and 6 from 6-9 p.m. each evening in the church fellowship hall located at 109 Court St., Little Valley. The cost is $20 for AARP members and $25 for non-members payable by check or money order. This is the first course designed for drivers over age 50, however drivers of all ages will benefit from attending. Class participants may be eligible for insurance premium and driver’s license points reduction. For further information or to register for the class, call 938-6247.

First Lutheran Holds Annual Halloween Party

The First Lutheran Church sponsored its annual neighborhood Halloween Party on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 1-3 p.m. in the church parlors. This event was sponsored by the Member Support and Outreach Committee, chaired by Jim and Janet Wahlberg. The party for children 12 and under featured games, a costume parade, crafts and refreshments.
