History Center Sets Tour Sat.

Norman Carlson, collections manager at the Fenton History Center, will be giving a tour Saturday of the extensive collection of genealogy resources at the Hall House Library including family files, town histories, cemetery records, thousands of books, online databases and microfilms. The workshop is from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 73 Forest Ave. The cost is $20 for the public and $10 for Fenton members.

North Harmony Seniors To Meet

The next meeting of the North Harmony Senior Citizens will take place Monday at 5 p.m. at the club center. There will be a Swiss steak dinner with trimmings, and members are asked to bring a dessert to pass. The cost is $8.50 per person. The October meeting was held Sept. 16 and featured a potluck supper with desserts. Members and guest numbered 57. Birthday celebrants were Earl Ferry and Paul Holthouse. Thanks was given to the host committee: Joanne Harper, Dorothy and Charlie Kraus, Adrian Madden and Marcia King. Guests present were June Whipple and Ray Wood and Paula and Donna Weatherlow. Both couples joined the club. Josie Flaminia entertained the group with many old and favorite tunes.

Rabies Clinic Is Canceled

KENNEDY — The free rabies vaccination clinic scheduled for Saturday at the Poland Highway Garage has been canceled.

Halloween Party Will Be Held Sat.

The Winifred Crawford Dibert Boys and Girls Club of Jamestown will host a Halloween Party on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Club at 62 Allen St. The free party is open to ages 5-12 and is from noon-2 p.m. Games will be held in the gym, upstairs game room and community room, and include Spin the Wheel, Plinko, ring toss and football toss. Appropriate costumes are encouraged but will not be judged. Children under 5 may attend if they are under constant parent supervision. Candy and other treats for the event have been provided by the adult members of the club and community donations. The club will not be open except for the party. However, swim lessons will be held as scheduled. The club is a United Way of Southern Chautauqua County Partner Agency. For more information please call the Club at 664-2902.

Spaghetti Dinner To Be Held

The Kiwanis Club of Jamestown will hold its annual Election Night spaghetti dinner at the Salvation Army, 83 S. Main St., Jamestown, on Tuesday, Nov. 5, from 4:30-7 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. The dinner will include spaghetti, meatballs, bread, salad, homemade desserts and a beverage. Takeouts are available. Delivery is available within limited area with the purchase of five or more dinners. Proceeds will benefit local Kiwanis youth projects. Historical Society To Convene

FREWSBURG — The Carroll Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting Monday at 7 p.m. behind the town hall. The meeting will include a discussion on the updated by-laws and constitution, election of officers and the updating of the organization’s charter and tax-exempt status. The public is welcome to attend.
