Food Pantry Open Saturday

KENNEDY — The Kennedy First United Methodist Church Food Pantry and Children’s Clothing Closet serving Falconer School District residents is open Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. The pantry strives to provide each family with two to three days of food, but is limited to type depending on the food donations that have been received. The pantry is stocked through individual and group food and monetary donations. The clothing closet provides children’s clothing birth-teen sizes. Candidates To Hold Discussion

Andrew R. Liuzzo, Libertarian Party candidate for mayor of Jamestown, and Raven Mason-Thompson, Libertarian Party candidate for Jamestown City Council At-Large, will hold a conversation about Jamestown neighborhoods, food deserts and job creation from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at the Willard Street Playground at Willard and Tower streets.

Gazebo Concert Set For Sunday

There will be no performance Saturday as part of the Busti Gazebo Concert series. Happy Days will perform Sunday, Sept. 1, from 2-4 p.m. This will be the final gazebo concert for the 2019 season. The event is sponsored by the Busti Hamlet Development Association and the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation.

Child Care Talk Set For Today

County Executive George Borrello will host a Community Child Care Roundtable discussion from 8 to 9:30 a.m. today at Jamestown Community College and 8 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Chautauqua Lake Central School. Labor Day Car Show Is Monday

The Der Kobblers will be holding its annual Labor Day Car Show on Monday, Sept. 2, at Midway State Park. Registration will be from 9 a.m. until noon. Prizes will be awarded at 3 p.m. The first 500 cars will receive a dash plaque. There will also be a Chinese auction, a live band and refreshments. For more information, contact Sam at 450-0663.

Back To School Blessing Is Set

WESTFIELD — St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 12 Elm St., Westfield, will host a back-to-school blessing at 10 a.m. Sunday. All students, teachers, and staff — preschool through adult — are invited to bring your backpacks, laptops, tablets or any other device essential to their educational success. Grange To Hold Rummage Sale
