Ellery Senior Citizens Plan Trip

Ellery Senior Citizens met recently at St. Timothy Lutheran Church. Serving on the kitchen committee was Mary O’Boyle. Carolyn Wickerham led the flag salute to open the business meeting led by President Marty Hunt. Devotions relating the July 4 holiday to were given by Jan Stowell. Helen Ingerson, Monty Hatch and Susan Caruso celebrated birthdays. The program speaker was Barb Cessna from the Fenton Historical Museum who spoke about veterans and Honor Flights to Washington, D.C., which are scheduled every six months. She commented on highlights of the 200th birthday celebration of governor Reuben Fenton which is occurring now. The next meeting will be today at noon at the church and members will enjoy a catered chicken barbecue. Kitchen committee will be Marty Hunt and Elaine Crossley. The group is making arrangements for a fall trip to Lockport Locks in September.

CVCS Class Of 1962 To Meet Sat.

The Cassadaga Valley Central School Class of 1962 will host a reunion on Saturday at the Shorewood Country Club. Other functions will provide for a weekend of activities and fellowship among these and other classes of CVCS. The Cassadaga Valley Cougars come from all over to attend, even as far as Nassau Bahamas where Mrs. Sandra McGwier, nee Hughes currently resides. Mrs. McGwier will be attending for the first time in so many years and is looking forward to meeting up with and reconnecting with her classmates and many other friends in the area.

Busti Gazebo Series Continues

BUSTI — The Busti Gazebo Concert Series continues with the band Sunny Side Up from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Members are Brenda Carr on guitar, mandolin and vocals; Marilyn McManus on keyboard and accordion; Randy Anderson on bass and banjo; Jim Beightol on rhythm guitar and cajon. The band performs country, rock and roll and gospel music throughout the area. Those attending can bring lawn chairs for seating. The concert is sponsored by the Busti Hamlet Development Association and the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation. Home Leasing LLC. To Meet

FALCONER — Home Leasing LLC. will be hosting a public meeting regarding its proposed West Main Street Mixed-Use Downtown Development Project on Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the Falconer Fire Hall. The meeting will allow a resident, property owner or business owner to meet the potential developers, review of a conceptual site plan and hear an overview of their proposed project. Light refreshments will begin at 5 p.m. followed by a formal presentation, including a question and comment session, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The presentation is expected to last approximately an hour.

Library To Hold Fundraiser

WESTFIELD — The Patterson Library in Westfield will host a painting fundraiser on Tuesdays, Aug. 13 and Aug. 20. Pinot in the Pergola Garden will seat up to 15 people each night for a painting class taught by Nancy Nixon-Ensign, Patterson Library Octagon Gallery curator. Tickets are $35 each and include all supplies as well as two complimentary glasses of wine. For reservations, call 326-2154.
