Free Yoga Event Is Saturday

Local yoga teachers from studios in the Jamestown and Lakewood areas will be teaming up to host a free yoga event Saturday in the green space at Comedy Center Park. This will be Jamestown’s third International Day of Yoga, a celebrated day with yoga events all over the world. Seven local teachers will offer classes for beginners, intermediate and kids. Attendees are asked to bring their own mat and water bottle. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m.; the event finishes at 2 p.m.

Summer Reading Program Set

The Roger Tory Peterson Institute will return to the Prendergast Library for a weekly story hour and nature walk beginning June 25. Activities will take place every Tuesday at 2 p.m. through Aug. 20. Farmers Market Begins Sunday

CASSADAGA — The Cassadaga Farmers Market will celebrate its third year in the village of Cassadaga on Sunday afternoons this summer. Beginning Sunday through Sept. 15, vendors from the Fredonia Farmers Market and the Cassadaga area will hold a weekly farmers market on Ames Common on the corner of Route 60 and Maple Avenue from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Local farmers and crafters will offer produce,eggs, jams, jellies, maple syrup, honey, soaps and personal care items and more.

Youngsville Class Of 1968 To Meet

YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. — The Youngsville High School Class of 1967 will host, while the Class of 1968 will be honored guests, during a reunion planned July 9 at the Youngsville Fire Hall beginning at noon. Those who attend are asked to bring a covered dish to share. Beverages, sandwhich fixings, plates and silverware will be provided. For more information, call 814-563-4389.

Outdoor Club Hike Planned

The Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike the Little Chautauqua Gorge between Mayville and Westfield on Sunday. The group will meet at the train station in Mayville at 1:30 p.m. The club will be wading in the water at times, so attendees are asked to wear appropriate shoes. Library Board To Meet Thursday

The Jamestown Prendergast Library’s board of trustees will meet Thursday at 5:15 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.
