Zoning Board Hearing Wed.

The Jamestown Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in council chambers, 200 E. Third St., Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend.

Ellington Crafters Meeting Monday

ELLINGTON — The Ellington Quilters and Crafters will meet Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ellington Farman Library. All adults are invited to come, work on their project or to visit. The library is located in the former Lock, Stock, and Barrel on the Town Square in Ellington, 760 Thorton Road. The library is handicapped-accessible. For more information, call the library at 287-2945. Library hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The library is closed Friday and Sunday.

St. Paul’s Service Time Changing

MAYVILLE — Beginning Sunday, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at 99 S. Erie St., Mayville, has changed its Sunday Service time to 10 a.m. until further notice. A Friday service is also held weekly at noon.

Jamestown BOE To Meet Tuesday

The Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Jefferson Middle School auditorium, 195 Martin Road. Items on the agenda include a presentation on the small cities schools and a musical presentation by Jefferson Middle School students. The public is welcome to attend.

JLDC Meeting On Tuesday

The Jamestown Local Development Corporation will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the mayor’s fourth floor conference room in the Jamestown Municipal Building. The public is welcome to attend.

School Safety Night Wednesday

Inclement weather forced the Southwestern Central School District to reschedule its School Safety Night to Wednesday, Feb. 6, from 7-8 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The district will discuss the proactive, preventative and reactive measures it is taking regarding student safety. Information about the ALICE (alert, lockdown, inform, counter, evacuate) training program, which the district is rolling out, will also be covered, along with other approaches. There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the conclusion of the presentation, which will be overseen by district Superintendent Maureen Donahue, the entire administrative staff, Safety Committee members as well as local law enforcement representatives.

Open House Moved To Thurs.

Northern Chautauqua Catholic School’s open house originally scheduled for Jan. 31 has been moved to Thursday, Feb. 7, from 6-8 p.m. To schedule a personal tour and student shadowing experience, call the school at 366-0630. NCCS is located at 336 Washington Ave., Dunkirk.

Buzzetto Benefit Held On Feb. 17

A benefit for Ryan Buzzetto will be held Sunday, Feb. 17, at the Lakewood American Legion beginning at 2 p.m. A GoFundMe at gofundme.com/justice-for-ryan-buzzetto has also been set up for donations to help pay for his medical bills.
