Library Board To Meet Thursday

The James Prendergast Library board will meet at 5:15 p.m. Thursday. The public is welcome to attend.

JPS Board Will Meet Tuesday

The Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the board room at 197 Martin Road, Jamestown. The agenda includes discussion of an agreement between the district and Jamestown Community College to collaborate on a nursing program and a discussion of the Every Student Succeeds Act. The public is welcome to attend.

Fenton Closing To Public Briefly

The Fenton History Center’s annual meeting, open to members, will be held at the mansion on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 6:30 p.m. A copy of the 2018 annual report will be available to read or print from the center’s website sometime in February. The Fenton Museum will be closed to the public from Jan. 21 through Feb. 3. The Research Center will remain open at 73 Forest Ave. The museum will reopen on Monday, Feb. 4.

Patterson Library Presents Show

WESTFIELD — The Patterson Library presents Jill Mattson in “Change Your Life With Sound and Music” at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the library’s main reading room. The program is free and open to the public. For more information, call Nancy Ensign at the Patterson Library at 326-2154

JCC Board of Trustees To Meet

The Jamestown Community College Board of Trustees will meet at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the boardroom on the Jamestown Campus with videoconferencing to the boardrooms on the Cattaraugus County Campus, Olean, and JCC North County Training Center, Dunkirk. The public is welcome to attend.

Cutting Sunday

Grand Opening — CenterPoint at Panama United Methodist Church, 22 E. Main St., Panama, N.Y., Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A 5,100 square foot addition to the church. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at noon. This grand opening is for the public to have a chance to tour our beautiful new facility. Refreshments will be served.

Legion Spaghetti

Fundraiser Set

FLUVANNA — The American Legion ILS Post 149, 364 Fluvanna Ave., Jamestown, will host a spaghetti fundraiser Saturday, Jan. 26, from 4-7 p.m. Joe Conti will be preparing the spaghetti. The cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children. The public is welcome to attend.

Red Cross Blood Drive Wednesday

CLYMER — The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Clymer Central School, 8672 E. Main St., Clymer. Individuals are eligible to give blood if it has been 56 days since their last donation; they are at least 17 years of age (16 with parental consent); weigh at least 110 pounds; have not received a tattoo or body piercing in the past 12 months; and are in good general health. Donors must have a valid photo ID. Prior to donating, those giving blood should eat a good solid meal and drink at least 18 ounces of water.
