Blood Drive Planned Tuesday

The Community Blood Bank will host a blood drive from noon-5 p.m. Tuesday at in the UPMC Chautauqua WCA auditorium, 207 Foote Ave., Jamestown. The Community Blood Bank of Northwestern Pennsylvania and Western New York is the exclusive blood supplier to 20 hospitals and six Stat MedEvac bases throughout the region. Individuals are eligible to give blood if it has been 56 days since their last donation; they are at least 17 years of age (16 with parental consent); weigh at least 110 pounds; have not received a tattoo or body piercing in the past 12 months; are in good general health and do not have a cold or the flu. Donors must have a valid photo identification.

Marvin House

To Hold Lunch

The Marvin Community House will hold its membership luncheon on Thursday at noon. The featured speaker is teacher, performer, critic and world traveler Robert Plyler. Reservations are due by Monday, and can be made by calling 488-6206 or through marvinhouse@netsync.net.

School Board

To Meet Monday

PANAMA — The Panama Central School Board of Education will hold a rescheduled board meeting on Monday at 7 p.m. in the board room. The meeting is open to the public.

Cemetery Group Meets Saturday

ONOVILLE — The St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery Association will be meeting Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Horseshoe Inn in South Valley. The public is welcome to attend.

Property Tax

Bills Incorrect

A printing error was made by the Chautauqua County Department of Real Property Tax for all town of Westfield property tax bills. Property owners are asked to please disregard the incorrect bills which were mailed late last week. New county and town tax bills will be printed on yellow paper and mailed to town of Westfield residents. For further information property owners may visit the town of Westfield website at westfieldny.com/town-westfield/town-westfield and corrected tax information will be uploaded on the County Department of Real Property Tax website at co.chautauqua.ny.us/349/Real-Property-Tax.

MS Rap Group Meets Jan. 19

The Chautauqua Region Multiple Sclerosis Rap Group will meet in the auditorium at the Jones Hill Memorial Rehabilitation Center, first floor, 51 Glasgow Ave., Jamestown, on Saturday, Jan. 19, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. This semi-structured support group has the goal of being both informative and fun. Snacks are provided. Those affected by the disease, including family and friends, are welcome to attend. For more information please contact Debbie Lane at 962-9401.

Poland Seniors Plan Meeting

Poland Seniors met on Dec. 17 for a ham luncheon at the Kennedy Fire Hall, catered by 3 C’s Catering. The Falconer High School Choir gave a program of Christmas music, under the direction of Mrs. Ann Mogenhan. Birthday for November was Elaine Melquist. There were no November or December anniversaries or December birthdays. The group’s next meeting will be Wednesday at noon. There will be a dish to pass. Committee for January is Sandy Tompsett and Val Nunn.
