Church Shop Announces Sales

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St. between East Fourth and East Fifth streets, Jamestown, will have ladies dress slacks or jeans half price on items priced $2 and up as well as half-price on ladies shoes. The shop has an assortment of Christmas decorations, ornaments, lights, toys, board games and stuffed animals. Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Donations are accepted Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to noon or during regular business hours. Those with large donations are asked to call ahead at 664-1887. Off-street parking is available in the church lot off of East Fifth Street. The all-volunteer staff includes many from RSVP. All proceeds are used locally.

Sewer Board To Meet Friday

MAYVILLE — The North Chautauqua Lake Sewer District board will meet at 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, in the North Chautauqua Lake Sewer Plant at 50 Clark St., Mayville. The public is welcome to attend.

Church Ladies To Meet Thursday

The Kiantone Congregational Church Ladies Aid will meet Thursday at the fellowship Hall for the annual Christman Luncheon. Ladies are requested to bring a dish to pass and dessert will be provided. Ten ladies attended the recent meeting. Ellen Coffaro and Irene Levan were hostesses. Loretta Smith opened the meeting with prayer. Karen Swanson gave the secretary report and Joan Spontaneo the treasurer report. Both were accepted. Final plans were made for making cookie plates for the shut-ins. The ladies will furnished homemade candy after the Christmas Cantata on Dec. 16. There will be no January or February meeting. Deborah Guzman, missionary to Thailand, gave a talk and slide presentation.

Quilt Guild To Meet Next Year

WESTFIELD — The will be no monthly meeting of the Westfield Quilters’ Guild in December. The group wishes all a happy holiday season.

Reed Town Hall Meeting Thursday

STOCKTON — U.S. Rep. Tom Reed will hold a town hall meeting from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Stockton Volunteer Fire Department, 28 S. Main St., Stockton. In the event Reed is not available to attend, Alison Hunt, district director, will be present to speak to constituents.

BBC To Sponsor Breakfast At Hall

BBC will sponsor a Christmas breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 22, at the Eastside Fellowship Hall, 322 Woodlawn Ave., Jamestown. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children.

Church To Host Christmas Dinner

KENNEDY — Kennedy First United Methodist Church will hold its ninth annual Christmas Day Dinner on Christmas Day from 1-3 p.m. The dinner is open to all at no charge. Those who are alone or want to share a dinner with others are welcome to attend. The menu includes turkey and ham, potatoes, stuffing, salad, dessert and beverage. No reservations are required, but attendees are encouraged to come early and stay to visit with others. Take-out meals will be available. The dinner will be held in the church’s fellowship hall. The church is handicap accessible through the lower side door which takes those attending directly to the fellowship hall. For more information, call 267-2645.
