Little Theatre Sets ‘Christmas Is’

The Lucille Ball Little Theatre of Jamestown will be hosting “Christmas Is,” featuring special guests, the Junior Guilders and Children Sing. The performances are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. All tickets are $10. The special event is not part of the season ticket. All proceeds go to theater programming and restoration.

Holiday Service Will Be Held

CHERRY CREEK — The Cherry Creek/Leon United Methodist Church will host a Christmas eve service at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24. The public is welcome to attend.

Living Healthy Class Dec. 20

WESTFIELD — There will be a Living Healthy with Chronic Disease Class at the Westfield YMCA every Thursday, starting Dec. 20 and ending Jan. 24, from 1 to 3 p.m. The six-week program focusing on self-management skills and support. The program helps participants reduce stress and increase well- being, to learn the appropriate use of medications, improve nutrition, talk effectively with family, friends and health professionals, find better ways of dealing with pain and fatigue, and gain knowledge and resources. Open Meadows To Celebrate 185 Years Of Service

ASHVILLE — The Open Meadows United Methodist Church will celebrate 185 years of ministry with a special program on Saturday, Dec. 22, at 1 p.m. A luncheon will be provided following the service. All those who have memories of the church are invited to attend and share in this time of fellowship. The church is located at 3183 Open Meadows Road, Ashville.

Bush Industries Holds Food Drive

“Build a Better Community by Fighting Hunger” was the motto of the Bush Industries Inc. employees who participated in the second annual company food drive. The employees collected 4,251 items and donated to them to the Food Bank of WNY. Their donations will help feed children, families, seniors and veterans throughout Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties.

Gingerbread Workshop Is Set

The James Prendergast Library will host a free gingerbread workshop in the makerspace from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20. The event is designed for those interested to stop by when it’s convenient for them. Children and families can create their own gingerbread houses using graham crackers, icing and candy. Church To Hold Cookie Walk

DEWITTVILLE — Dewittville-Hartfield United Methodist Church will host its annual cookie walk sale from 9 a.m. to noon, or until sold out, Saturday, Dec. 22, at the church, Route 430 and Meadows Road, Dewittville. Cookies will cost $4.50 a dozen or six dozen for $25.00. There will also be free coffee and spiced cider.

Those purchasing cookies can bring their own containers or containers will be provided.
