PANAMA — The Panama Central School Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the board room. The public is welcome to attend.
Carroll History Society To Gather
FREWSBURG — The Carroll Historical Society will meet Monday for a short business meeting at 6:30 p.m. All members are encouraged to attend. A public meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on the same evening. A family memorabilia show and tell will be held. The Community and society members are invited to participate. Tables will be available for display. There are no fees. The meetings are held in society rooms at 5 W. Main St., Frewsburg.
Ellington Crafters To Meet Monday
ELLINGTON — The Ellington Quilters and Crafters will meet Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ellington Farman Library. All adults are invited to come, work on their project or just to visit. The group meets the first and third Mondays of each month. There are plenty of electrical outlets in the community room for irons, sewing machines, glue guns or any other item that needs electricity. The library is located in the former Lock, Stock, and Barrel on the Town Square in Ellington, 760 Thorton Road. The library is handicapped-accessible. For more information, call the library at 287-2945. Library hours are Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The library is closed Friday and Sunday.
Women’s Club To Convene Tuesday
On Tuesday, the Allen Park Women’s Club will meet to discuss this past summer’s Bandshell season and other important matters. The theme of the evening is Game Night and will occur at the Allen Park Men’s Club at 6:30 p.m. for snacks and dessert. Each member is to bring a wrapped white elephant gift.
Planning Board To Meet Tuesday
RANDOLPH — A public meeting facilitated by the Randolph Planning Board to hear public comment and input on future use for 112-114 Main St. will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Randolph Area Municipal Building, 72 Main St., Randolph. The public is welcome to attend.
JCC Board To Meet Tuesday
The Jamestown Community College Board of Trustees will meet at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the boardroom on the Cattaraugus County Campus, Olean, with videoconferencing to the boardrooms on the Jamestown Campus and the JCC North County Training Center in Dunkirk.
Harmony History Society To Meet
BLOCKVILLE — The Harmony Historical Society’s annual meeting will meet on Tuesday. A pot luck dinner is at 6 p.m. followed with a report on the year’s activities at 7 p.m. Jack Ericson, local historian and society member, will present a program on Amos Ferguson, a poet and resident of Fluvanna who translated part of the Bible into verse and wrote a Civil War songster. All meetings are open to the public. The aim of the Harmony Historical Society is to preserve and develop local history and to acquire and save for public use any cultural, economic and political artifacts and cooperate with all organizations with similar purposes.
