SWCS Class Of ’59 Sets Reunion

The Southwestern Central School class of 1959 will be meeting Wednesday, July 11 at Alfie’s Restaurant at noon. This is a change from the first Wednesday of the month. Please join us to help plan the SWCS 60th reunion in 2019. All class members and guests are welcome.

Board Of Health Meets On July 19

MAYVILLE — The Chautauqua County Board of Health will hold its meeting on Thursday, July 19 at 6 p.m. in the HRC Building, Fourth Floor Conference Room. Anyone seeking further information or wishing to attend this meeting should call the Public Health Director’s Office at 753-4590.

AOC Will Hold Bike Ride Sat.

On Saturday, The Allegheny Outdoor Club will ride bikes on the bike trail that runs from Leeper to Mary Ann. This 20-mile-long trail is part paved and part packed limestone. The leader will bike the entire 20 miles but any rider who wants to turn back can do so at any time. Participants should bring their lunch and water and meet at Betts Park at 10 a.m. For more information call Greg Burkett at 814- 723-4989.

Card Making Class Is July 10

SOUTH DAYTON — Community activities for adults will be held by Jean Baker at the South Dayton Village Library 17 Park St., From 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, Baker will lead “Card Making and Scrapbooking for Adults.” Those attending will learn how to create greeting cards and scrapbook memories. Those attending should bring their own materials or supplies will be available for $3. Otherwise the class is free. Experience is not required. Those attending can bring a beverage or snack if they wish.

Ellington Slates Bible School

ELLINGTON — The Ellington Baptist Church will hold its vacation Bible school from 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 9-11 at the Ellington Town Park. There will be activities for children in kindergarten through age 12. Children in second through fourth grades will have a Bible lesson, craft, snack and games while children in fifth through 12th grade will have a three-day basketball clinic, including 3-point and foul shooting contests on the final day. Library Board Meets Monday

FLUVANNA — The Fluvanna Free Library will hold its monthly board meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, July 9. The meeting is open to the public. For more information, call the library at 487-1773.

Summer Reading Program To Start

FLUVANNA — The Fluvanna Free Library is signing up people for the library’s annual summer reading program, which starts Tuesday, July 24. People from toddler to adults can take part in reading activities, stories and crafts. Applications are available by stopping in at the library or emailing flulib@stny.rr.com. An application form is also on the library website at www.fluvanalibrary.org and clicking on the event tab. For more information contact the Fluvanna Free Library at 487-1773.

The Fluvanna Free Library is located at 3532 Fluvanna Avenue, Fluvanna, next to the Fluvanna Fire Department. The library’s hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Youngsville Class Of 1966 Sets Reunion

YOUNGSVILLE — Youngsville High School will host its family reunion-style luncheon for all alumni and guests who graduated at least 50 years ago. The 2018 gathering is hosted by the Youngsville High School Class of 1966. The Class of 1967 are the honored guests. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to pass. Beverages, sandwich fixings, plates and silverware are provided. The party starts at noon at the Youngsville Fire Hall. For more information, call 814-730-2385.
