Arena To Host Conference

The Northwest Savings Bank Arena will host a news conference at noon today in its main lobby. According to a news release from the arena, the announcement “provides our community with a long-term, sustainable foundation of competition and entertainment. We look forward to sharing this exciting news with the media.” The public is welcome to attend.

SWCS Board

To Meet Today

The Southwestern Central School Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. today in the board room in the middle school. The public is welcome to attend.

Riverfront Council To Meet Today

The Jamestown Riverfront Management Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. today in Jamestown Municipal Building. Items on the agenda include an update on the Riverwalk stabilization project update and upcoming events. The public is welcome to attend.

Weekly Thrift Shop Update

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St., between east Fourth and East Fifth streets, has all clothing buy one, get one free for items of equal or lesser value. Wedding dresses are not included. Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Donations are accepted Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to noon or during regular business hours. For large donations call ahead at 664-1887. Off-street parking is available in the church lot off East Fifth Street. The all-volunteer staff includes many from RSVP. Proceeds are used locally.

Addiction Program Set For June 23

CASAC will sponsor Addiction Response Ministry, a Christ-centered recovery program conducted by Bishop Leecroft Clarke, on Saturday, June 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Christian Workshop Center, 101 Eagle St., Fredonia. Retired Workers To Meet Thursday

WARREN — The Barton-Schuler chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees will meet on Thursday at Perkins Restaurant on Ludlow Street in Warren. Piano Recital

Set For Friday

A piano recital by Gena Bedrosian will be held Friday from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Hurlbut Community United Methodist Church at Chautauqua Institution. Enter by the main gate. There is no fee to enter for the recital and the event is handicap accessible. The parking lot is above Fletcher Hall. For more information, call Gena at 518-441-8873.

To Meet Thursday

The Chautauqua County Corvette Club will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday at 7:30 p.m., at the Celoron American Legion, Post 777, 26 Jackson Ave., Jamestown, New York. New members are welcome to come and check us out.
