Lakewood Legion Post 1286 will be hosting Jules R Us Karaoke on Friday from 7:30-10:30 p.m. Dinners will be prepared by Charlie Vullo from 5-9 p.m. All members and guests welcome, please sign in.

Be Held Saturday

Community Blood Bank will be holding a blood drive Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at So-Ly Yours Fitness in Mayville. All blood types are urgently needed. No appointment necessary.

Meeting For Parks Commission Set

The Chautauqua County Parks Commission will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday at 4 p.m. at Robert H. Jackson Airport. The public is invited to attend.

Poetry Slam To Be Held July 5

The Infinity Visual and Performing Arts Center will be hosting, “Pulse Poetry Slam Open Mic Night” on Thursday, July 5, at 6 p.m. at the Infinity Arts Cafe. Poets and audience-members are welcome. All ages are also welcome. The Infinity Arts Cafe performance entrance is located at 300 E. Third St., Jamestown. Look for the blue neon guitar.

Bible School Kicks Off July 6

CHERRY CREEK — The South Dayton Free Methodist Church, 327 Pine St., South Dayton, will host its vacation Bible school, “Sidewalk Gang,” Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to noon July 6 through Aug. 24. Vacation Bible school will include Bible stories, music, crafts and games. Lunch will be provided each day. A special closing program will be held Aug. 24. WARREN — The Warren Area High School Class of 1973 has scheduled its 45th class reunion for July 6 at the Eagles Club in Warren. Those who did not receive an invitation can call Judy Froman at 814-723-6157.

JBC To Hold Freshman Meet

Jamestown Business College will be holding its annual Freshman meet-and-greet on Tuesday, July 10, at the Chautauqua Mall. The event is from 4-7 p.m.

Ellington Church Sets Bible School

ELLINGTON — The Baptist Church of Ellington is hosting a vacation bible school at the Ellington Town Park from July 9-11 from 6-8:30 p.m. The theme of this program is Heroes of the Bible. Grades kindergarten to fourth grade will be given Bible lessons, crafts, games and snacks. Grades 5-12 will have a three-day basketball clinic.
