Quilters To Meet Wednesday
WESTFIELD — The Westfield Quilters’ Guild will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the YWCA on South Portage Street in Westfield. Birgit Hanson will share her quilts and her quilting journey. Guests are welcome to attend.
Community Yard Sale Saturday
WESTFIELD — Cross Roads Farm and Craft Market, 6017 Sherman-Westfield Road, Westfield, will have a free community yard sale and entertainment by Dan Vogan on Saturday. The yard sale is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Vogan will perform in the pavilion from noon-2 p.m. Admission is free.

Showcase Friday
Instructors from the Infinity Visual and Performing Arts Center will showcase their talents at the Infinity Arts Cafe on Friday at 7 p.m. The event is free, family friendly, and open to the public. The Infinity Arts Cafe performance entrance is located at 300 E. Third St., Jamestown.
Ripley BOE To Meet Thursday
A special meeting of the Board of Education of the Ripley Central School District will be held on Thursday at 6:30 p.m., in the Research Library (Room 204) of the Ripley Central School for the purposes of reviewing and approving a Fire Alarm Project. The public is welcome to attend.
Soil Board To Meet Thursday
The Chautauqua County Soil and Water Conservation District board of directors will meet Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. in the Northcrest Business Park, 220 Fluvanna Ave., Suite 600.
Taco Tuesdays Begin This Week
Emmanuel Baptist Church, 53 W. 23rd St., Jamestown, will have Taco Tuesdays this Tuesday and Tuesday, July 25, from 4:30-7 p.m. Dinners are $5 and include: three hard or soft shell tacos, rice and beans.
New Student
Session Thursday
The Infinity Visual and Performing Arts Center will hold a new student orientation and intake session on Thursday. To register for a session, call the Infinity Center at 664-0991. Students may also register online at www.infinityperformingarts.org to be contacted for an orientation slot. Orientation sessions last 30 minutes, including a tour of the Infinity Center and opportunities to meet Infinity staff members and schedule lessons. The Infinity Center is located at 301 E. Second St., Suite 101, in the Lynn Building.
Historical Society To Meet Thursday
MAYVILLE — The Chautauqua Township Historical Society will meet at the museum in the Railroad Depot, 15 Water St., Mayville, at 7 p.m. Thursday. The public is invited to hear John Paul Wolfe, volunteer curator of the Chautauqua County Historical Society museum in the McClurg Mansion in Westfield, speak about the recently acquired artifacts from the estate of the late Judy Hess. Wolfe will also give information about a satellite exhibit in the Barcelona Light House now available to the public through New York state. For more information call 753-2710.
