Website Classes Begin Thursday

LITTLE VALLEY – In a technologically advanced world, even the smallest business can get more customers with a website. A new offering in Cattaraugus County will help businesses learn how to capitalize on the Web.

Building a website used to be thought of as the domain of the guys wearing the thick glasses and pocket protectors. Advances in technology have made the days of writing line after line of code a thing of the past. Now, with some of the sites on the Internet, all you have to do is drag and drop.

The Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development is offering a three-class series to help small businesses and nonprofits learn how to make the site they need to drive traffic to their businesses. On June 12, June 19 and June 26, from 6-9 p.m., at the Little Valley County Center, classes will be offered. There is no registration fee, but the cost of a domain will be charged, once the site is up.

For more information, or to sign up for the course, go to ccbizhelp.com/events/website-workshops-businesses-and-other-organizations-132, or contact Deb Miller at 938-2318, or deborahmiller@cattco.org.
