NY StateWide Senior Action Council is a grassroots organization made up of individual senior citizens and organizations from all parts of New York State.

Our services, provided by experienced and certified counselors, are free. We provide information to elders and their families so that they can make the best possible healthcare decisions on issues such as Patients’ Rights; Health Insurance Services and Benefits; Prescription Drug Coverage, Services; and Medicare & Medicaid Fraud Prevention. StateWide’s Patient Advocates Program offers free presentations in the community and Telephone Teach-ins every month. StateWide’s 2019 Health Care Calendars are available. These are valuable tools to keep track of your doctors’ appointments and to identify which preventative services are completely paid for by Medicare one time per year.

Services such as: preventative screenings, such as, Abdominal Aortic Aneurism Screening, Cardiovascular Screening, Colorectal Cancer Screening, Depression Screening, Diabetes Screening, Glaucoma Screening, Hepatitis Screening, HIV Screening, Lung Cancer Screening, Breast Cancer Screening and Prostate Screening.
