Bruce L. and Gayle M. Gardner of Kennedy, N.Y., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at the Nic-L-Inn in Frewsburg, N.Y. They are the parents off Heather Gardner of Celoron, N.Y., Kaitlyn Gardner of Kenmore, N.Y., and Sean (Chelsea) Gardner of Falconer, N.Y. They are also the grandparents of Cole Chapman, Chase Strickland and Eliana Gardner and a grandchild due in February 2017.

Gardner and the former Gayle M. Tranmer were married Sept. 10, 1966, in Celoron Methodist Church, Celoron, N.Y. The late Rev. Edwin F. Armitage performed the ceremony.

Gardner a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War is a retired from Cummins Engine. He is a member of the Jamestown Rifle and Pistol Club and the Carroll Rod and Gun Club. Mrs. Gardner is a retired account clerk. They are both members of AARP.
