Renald and Karen LaMar of Jamestown, N.Y., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a surprise party at Allegany State Park. The celebration was hosted by their children: David (Chris) LaMar, Carole (Dave) Garrison, Steve (Sue) LaMar and other family members. They are also the grandparents of Ella Garrison, They were also honored by their children with a trip to the Adirondacks, where they had spent thier honeymoon.

LaMar and the former Karen Carlson were married Sept. 18, 1965, in the Camp Street United Methodist Church in Jamestown, N.Y. The Rev. Harold Gaiser and the Rev. Donald Johnson performed the ceremony.

LaMar had been employed by Proto Tool and retired from Jamestown Metal Products. Mrs. LaMar had been employed by Hills Department Store and retired from the Christian Book Store.
