Donald W. and Sandra J. Stewart of Jamestown, N.Y., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 28, 2015, with the renewal of their vows and an open house at the Masonic Center, Baker Street Extension, Jamestown, N.Y.

The Rev. Dr. Robert Lewis, retired pastor, performed the ceremony. Following the ceremony and open house, the celebration continued with a family dinner at the Landmark Restaurant. The celebration was hosted by their children: Robert A. Stewart of San Antonio, Texas, Barbara K. Langford of Oakland, Md., and Alissa L. Carroll of Wendell, N.C. They are also the grandparents of Nathaniel and Andrew Langford and Annabelle Carroll. Members of the original wedding party in attendance were Patricia Hunter, matron of honor and sister of the bride, Marlene Sanders, junior bridesmaid and sister of the groom, and Laura Janisch, flower girl and niece of the bride. Out-of-state guests attended from Texas, Maryland, North Carolina and Indiana.

Stewart and the former Sandra J. Swanson were married March 27, 1965, in First Methodist Church, Jamestown, N.Y. The Rev. Raymond Reisden performed the ceremony.

Stewart is retired from the City of Jamestown, Department of Public Works Traffic and Engineering. Mrs. Stewart is a retired office manager of Scottish Rite AASR. She had also been employed by Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, the Bon-Ton and Jamestown Anesthesia Associates.

Stewart is a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Jamestown, the Sylvan Lodge No. 303 Free & Accepted Masons, Mt. Sinai-Mecca Chapter No. 132 Order of the Eastern Star and Lakewood Rod & Gun Club. Mrs. Stewart is a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown, Mt. Sinai-Mecca Chapter No. 132 Order of the Eastern Star, Ingjald Lodge 65 IO Vikings and Allen Park Women’s Club.
