Brocton American Legion Walk With Ease Program Begins June 11

Walk with Ease is a new program starting at the American Legion in Brocton

Starting on June 11, a Walk with Ease program is being offered at the American Legion, 110 W. Main St, Brocton. Walk with Ease is a proven successful program designed for people with Arthritis, older adults (50+) and anyone wanting to benefit from an exercise program that can help build stamina and improve cardiovascular fitness. Studies by the Thurston Arthritis Research Center and the Institute on Aging at the University of North Carolina have shown that the Walk with Ease program increased balance and strength, increased physical activity and improved overall health. The program is led by a certified Walk with Ease instructor and meets for one hour three times a week for six weeks on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9-10 a.m. The program will begin on Monday, June 11 and is being offered free of charge. The Walk with Ease program is provided by the Arthritis Foundation, the American Legion, the Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services, Chautauqua County Parks Department and the Chautauqua County Office for the Aging.
