Falconer Girls Upend Westfield/Brocton, 44-38

FALCONER — Falconer improved to 4-7 overall and 2-4 in Division 2 West play with a 44-38 win over Westfield/Brocton at home.

Sarah Disbro led the winners with 16 points, five rebounds and six steals, while Gracie Lundmark added 11 points and seven rebounds.

Sophia DeMarco hit three 3s in defeat, finishing with a team-high 18 points to go along with 10 rebounds and four assists.

Julie Smith added 9 points and nine rebounds for Westfield/Brocton.

SHERMAN– Panama improved to 9-1 overall and 5-0 against Division 2 West opponents with a 70-43 win over Sherman (4-5, 3-1).

Kylie Schnars led the winners with 16 points, 10 rebounds and three steals, Natalie Angeletti added 14 points, eight rebounds and three steals, and Abi Lisciandro chipped in five assists.

Maggie Myers led Sherman with 13 points and five assists, Carrie Sands added 13 points, and MacKenzie Gratto had 11 points and 16 rebounds.

BEARS ROLL

FREWSBURG — Frewsburg (9-1, 4-0) rolled past Cassadaga Valley (3-4, 2-3), 71-27, as Mikayla Gabalski-Jones exploded for 26 points, including 11 in the third quarter.

The sophomore also added seven steals, Gabby Iuculano chipped in five steals to go along with 19 points and three assists as the Bears finished with 23 team takeaways.

Dani Gray finished with 12 points and nine rebounds in the the win.

Brooke Repine led the Cougars with 8 points and six rebounds with Bella Ruiz chipping in three steals.

MAYVILLE — Olean (9-0, 3-0) was a 67-49 winner over host Chautauqua Lake (8-4, 1-2) despite the Thunderbirds holding Sara Pfieffer to an 18-point outing in Division 1 West play.

Sophia Aiello had 17 points in the win and Justine Brooks 12.

Abi Henry led the Thunderbirds with 18 points, nine rebounds and three steals while Rebecca Henry finished her night with 7 points and five rebounds.

Chautauqua Lake was plagued by 22 turnovers.

RANDOLPH — Portville improved to 8-1 on the year and 3-0 in CCAA Division 1 East action with a 69-44 girls basketball win over Randolph (2-7, 0-2) on Wednesday.

Karly Welty led the winners with 35 points on six 3-pointers while adding four steals and four assists; and Bryn Milne grabbed 14 rebounds and Sydney Colligan added 11 points.

Sydney Hvizdzak led Randolph with 12 points, three rebounds, two steals and six assists, while Nizhoni Kennedy scored 11 points, to go along with eight rebounds and two blocks for the Cardinals.
