Goalie Keane Shines For Rebels
MIDDLETOWN, N.J. — The Jamestown Rebels earned a split of their weekend series against New Jersey on Sunday, courtesy of a spectacular performance by goalie Ryan Keane.
Keane stopped all 31 shots he faced to spark the Rebels to a 4-0 victory over the Titans at the Middletown Ice World Arena.
Lewis Crosby, Alex Frye, Colin Schmidt and Jake Felker tallied goals for Jamestown, which led 2-0 after the first period. Recording assists were Seth Bergeron, Nick Stuckless, Frye, Jim Glynn, Nick Petruolo and Caleb Price.
The win improved the Rebels’ record to 14-8-2-1 and moved them into sole possession of second place in the East Division, one point ahead of New Jersey (15-11).
Matt Ladd was in goal for the Titans.
Jamestown returns to action Friday and Saturday when they face off against division-leading Johnstown (24-4). Puck drop each night is 7:05 at Northwest Arena.
