Page Highlights Strong Day For JCC Wrestlers At Brockport

BROCKPORT — The Jamestown Community College wrestling team had a strong finish at the SUNY Brockport tournament on Saturday.

Falconer graduate Cameron Page led the way for the Jayhawks, taking first place at 184 pounds to begin his sophomore season.

“I think Cameron had a great day,” Jamestown CC coach Kris Schimek said. “He has been working really hard all offseason and it really showed today. This was his first college championship. He only surrendered three points on the day while accumulating 35.”

Nick Jones of Dunkirk took second place at 285 pounds while Dan Torres of Cassadaga Valley took third at 174 and Paul Manning IV third at 125.

Wyatt Holley took fifth place, leading the Jayhawks with two falls on the day.

The Jayhawks will welcome Thiel College to the Physical Education Complex on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
