The Westside JV topped Southside, 23-13, as Giovannie Jackson picked up 110 yards on the ground and one score.

Kamryn Monroe added another touchdown and Jhenson Cordero kicked an extra point.

Tyler Berry and Julian Jackson led the defense.


Westside varsity picked up a 19-7 win over Southside, as Chase Bonta had 145 yards. Noah Burch scored all seven Southside points with a score and also completed a pass to Micah Watson. Bonta led the defense with seven tackles, while Dominic Weber had seven tackles and Robert Miller two.


Southside modified topped Westside, 33-0, as Gavin Pantojas racked up 138 yards and two scores, while Sean O’Brien added two scores, 70 yards and an extra point.

Colin Melendez hooked up with Michael Boron on a 45-yard touchdown and then finished off the extra point. The defense was led by O’Brien and Bradley Bennet while Ryan Chapman added an interception.


Southside JV picked up a 33-25 win in recent action. Giovannie Jackson had 126 yards on the ground with a touchdown and an extra point, and also hit Julian Jackson for a 65-yard touchdown. Julian Jackson added 96 yards on the ground. Jhensen Cordero added 60 yards and a score. Kamryn Monroe had 11 yards and a touchdown on the ground and three catches for 20 yards and a score, adding an extra point. Julian Jackson and Owen Everetts led the defense.


Southside Varsity suffered a 28-14 defeat, as Chase Bonta pounded out 70 yards and Dominic Weber added 56 yards and an extra-point catch. The defense was lead by Bonta and Weber.

Noah Burch lead the offense with touchdown runs of 40 and 20 yards while and finishing with 103 yards.


Southside Modified remained perfect with a 27-0 win. Darius Freeney led the offense with 90 yards of rushing and a score. Draven DeJesus added 36 yards and a score, Sean O’Brien 34 yards and a touchdown and Colin Melendez 60 yards through the air including a 26-yard touchdown to Michael Boron.

Melendez and Boron would hook up on the extra point as well, while Gavin Pantojas added 52 yards rushing and 24 receiving. Bradley Bennett and O’Brien led the defense.


The Westside Panthers hosted the Dunkirk Marauders this Saturday at Persell School.

The JV Panthers scratched out a tough win, 14-7, to remain undefeated. Josh Piazza lead the offense with 65 yards on the ground and a pair of pass completions to Karsen Milne for 16 yards. Gavin Johnson raced for 47 yards and a touchdown.

The JV defense saw Declan Errett get six tackles and recover a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown. Cole Anderson tallied eight tackles and Eli DeLeon had seven big stops. Cole Strickland had his best game of the year and lead the defense with 10 tackles.


The Varsity Panthers squad extended their winning streak to 3-0 with a 20-8 victory over the Marauders.

Tyler Zwald lead all runners with 153 yards, a score, a 2-point conversion, and 11 yards receiving. Carsen Bane rumbled for 87 yards an a pair of big touchdown runs. Aiden Samuelson chipped in 29 yards on two carries.

The defensive attack was lead by Captain Cole Bloomquist who had 14 tackles and a sack. Carsen Bane was close behind with 11 tackles and Tommy Pratton grappled six opponents to the ground. Dominic Gonzales added five tackles. Angelo Restivo added a sack.


The Panthers Modified team dropped a hard-fought decision, as the Marauders earned a 40-12 win.

QB Isaiah Sanchez completed seven passes for 95 yards, including a 50-yard touchdown to Caleb Piazza. New Panther Eric Reese added 56 yards rushing.

The Defense was again lead by Kedvin Vasquez who had 11 tackles. The duo of Brandon Lobb and John Torres combined for 11 total tackles. Lobb notched a pair of sacks while Nathan Jacobs and Aiden Senear each added a sack. Eric Reese had eight tackles, Jacobs had six, and Hunter Meabon had six stops and a fumble recovery. Vasquez blocked a punt that was recovered by Sanchez and run back for a 20-yard touchdown. Avery Thagard recovered a fumble.

Next week, the Panthers host the Northside Warriors.
