Southwestern Shuts Out Cards In Boys Soccer

RANDOLPH — Southwestern (4-0) was a 3-0 winner over host Randolph (1-3) in non-league boys soccer action on Thursday thanks to a pair of goals by Chase Stevenson.

Stevenson grabbed his first on a penalty kick at 24 minutes of the first half, and added his second tally with one minute remaining off an assist by Bryce Deering.

Michael Camarata added the third Southwestern tally with four minutes remaining off an assist by Marcus Kautzman.

Ben Livingston made four saves in the win while Jacob Bulich had 12 in defeat.

Southwestern also claimed the modified contest.

GOLDEN COUGARS PREVAIL

FREWSBURG – Falconer/Cassadaga Valley picked up its first win of the year, blanking host Frewsburg (0-2) 6-0.

Noah Richner collected a hat trick, Jimmy Kramer had two goals and Gavin Pavlock finished off the scoring for the winners (1-2).

Pavlock and Kramer added assists, as would Matt Dallas, Austin Johns and Jayden Johns.

GIRLS

JHS FALLS TO LANCASTER

Lancaster jumped out to a 3-0 lead at halftime en route to a 7-1 victory over Jamestown in an Erie County Interscholastic Conference Division 1 girls soccer game.

Macey Lundmark broke the shutout for the Lady Red Raiders (0-2-1) with an unassisted goal late in the second half.

Giaconda Calamunci made 19 saves for Jamestown.
