Robbie Penhollow rushed for 144 yards on 22 carries and scored three touchdowns in a 32-13 defeat of Chautauqua Lake/Westfield on Friday. The senior also caught a pass for another touchdown and added eight tackles on defense.

Southwestern
On Tuesday, Chase Stevenson was one of six different Trojans to find the back of the net as Southwestern topped Westfield/Brocton, 6-1. On Thursday, the senior added two more goals in a 3-0 shutout of Randolph.

On Tuesday, Carpenter turned away 18 shots as Randolph battled Jamestown to a 2-2 tie. The Cardinals were 3-0 winners over Salamanca on Friday, as Carpenter stopped all nine shots she faced.

Jordyn Sampson had a huge night on Thursday for the Golden Falcons, collecting 24 assists, 21 digs, seven kills and five aces in a five-set win over Pine Valley, 19-25, 24-26, 25-22, 25-14, 25-22.

Ronan McDonald began his junior season on the right foot, taking home first place in the boys Small School race at the Red Dragon Invitational on Saturday, clocking a time of 16:53.

Kylee Odell led all area runners at this year’s season-opening Red Dragon Invite on Saturday, posting a time of 19:26 to take second in the girls Small School heat.

On Thursday CeCe Eklum topped Falconer’s Macy Youngberg, 6-4, 6-1. Eklum followed that victory up with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Elise Sposato of Frewsburg on Friday.

Karianne Yuchnitz took home the 50-yard freestyle with a Section VI-qualifying time of 25.3 seconds on Thursday and also grabbed the 100-yard freestyle in a sectional-qualifying time of 55.56.
