Jayhawks Shut Out By Finger Lakes CC

CANANDAIGUA — Jamestown Community College fell to 0-5-2 overall and 0-4-1 in NJCAA Region 3 Division III play as Finger Lakes Community College (6-2-0) posted a 2-0 win Wednesday.

The hosts capitalized on goals from Jordan Gardner, three minutes into the second period, and another tally from Gabriel Mendoza late in the second half.

Travis Cotton stopped four shots for the winners and Jakob Moore made four saves for the Jayhawks.

“We got significantly better play for the first half but just weren’t able to convert,” said Jamestown CC coach Pat Anderson. “I think the play was more even the second half but they managed to capitalize and we didn’t.”
