Davis Provides Offense In Falconer’s 3-0 Win
MAYVILLE — Ali Davis scored her first two goals of the season to lead Falconer past Chautauqua Lake, 3-0, in CCAA Central Division girls soccer Friday.
Davis scored 11:40 into the first half off a corner kick and added her second from Sam Kianos 19:02 into the second half.
Izzy Penhollow scored her ninth of the season from Davis 22:22 into the second half while Grace Lundmark made three saves for her second shutout of the season for the Golden Falcons (3-1, 1-0).
The Thunderbirds fell to 0-2, including 0-1 in league play.
BEARS BLANK COUGARS
FREWSBURG — Gabby Iuculano scored twice and sophomore keeper Madison Horton picked up her first varsity win and shutout in Frewsburg’s 4-0 Central Division victory over Cassadaga Valley.
Kendal Sohl opened the scoring from Rachel Annis in the seventh minute before Iuculano scored from Emma Edwards in the 27th minute and Alexandra Hultberg in the 37th minute for the Bears (2-2, 1-0).
Nora Edwards capped the scoring in the 50th minute from Taylor McLaughlin.
The Cougars fell to 0-2 overall, including 0-1 in league play.
DRAGONS WIN EASILY
PINE VALLEY — Maple Grove was an 8-0 winner over Pine Valley in Central Division play.
Clare Crossley, Chloe Kibbe and Ana Pavlock each had a pair of goals for the Red Dragons (2-0, 1-0). Single tallies came from Lilly Baer and Ireland Haglund while Alex Daniels grabbed three assists, Sydney Greiner two and Taylor Bower one.
Addie Tanner made one save in the win while Haley Campbell stopped 30 shots for the Panthers (0-3, 0-1).
