Braymiller, Hanlon Are Co-POYs

New York State Public High School Athletic Association Class C champion Chautauqua Lake received three Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 West end-of-season awards and placed three players on the First Team of the league’s all-star team.

Junior third baseman Cianna Braymiller was named a co-Player of the Year, junior pitcher Oliva Anderson was named the league’s Pitcher of the Year and the Thunderbirds were also given the league’s Team Sportsmanship Award.

Anderson and Braymiller were joined on the First Team by junior catcher Chadelynn Johnson.

Dunkirk senior Emilee Hanlon was the other league co-Player of the Year and was joined on the First Team by Marauders teammates sophomore Kaitlyn Davis, sophomore Kymi Nance and junior Monica Pokoj.

Fredonia placed three players on the First Team with sophomore Kazlin Beers, junior Sydney Bigelow and junior Grace Mroczka being recognized.

Falconer sophomore Alex Rivera, Maple Grove junior Meghann Nolan, Silver Creek junior Julia Hill and Southwestern junior Erin Radack rounded out the First Team.

Chautauqua Lake senior Cameryn Hawkins and junior Katelyn Fardink were joined on the Second Team by Dunkirk sophomore Jessica Beehler and junior Emma Newton.

Fredonia placed senior Cassie Essek, senior Grace Pucciarelli and freshman Madison Marsh on the Second Team while Falconer had freshman Macy Youngberg and freshman Nicole Youngberg recognized. Maple Grove juniors Lynne Nolan and Elise Swanson were joined by Silver Creek senior Tessa Douglas and freshman Bailey Watroba. Finally, Southwestern had seniors Alanna Dibble and Samicka Mathews on the Second Team.

Maple Grove’s Rebecca Zimmerman was named the Coach of the Year in her first year at the helm.
