Filip Morawski and Thomas Bates of Olean are the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association tennis doubles champions after action concluded on Thursday at SUNY Fredonia. The pair were able to move past Max Kinkela and Jimmy Rush of Fredonia with a 6-2, 6-3 win in the finals. Morawski and Bates topped Quinn Payne and Carson Heimburg of Panama, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3, in semifinal action. Kinkela and Rush were 6-0, 3-6, 6-3 winners over Augusto Rodriguez and Trevor Napoli of Fredonia. All four semifinalist doubles teams will head to the Section VI championships Monday and Friday at Lancaster High School.
