MG Posts 5-0 Tennis Victory

BEMUS POINT — On a day the senior class was recognized, the Maple Grove Red Dragons were 5-0 winner over Dunkirk in boys tennis action Wednesday.

The hosts moved to 6-4 on the year highlighted by senior Chase Boardman, who topped Jordan Cooley, 7-5, 6-4, at first singles.

Reid Wight was a 6-2, 7-6 (9) winner over Ryan Wills at third singles and fellow seniors Ben Cresanti and Wyatt Chriest won 6-0, 6-0 over Jeremy Bohn and Joseph Newton at first doubles.

PANAMA — Panama improved to 10-2 overall on the year with a 5-0 sweep of visiting Jamestown (5-7) in non-league tennis action.

Carson Heimburg took care of Shane Federko, 6-1, 6-1, at first singles to lead the way and the Panthers did not drop more than two games in a set the rest of the match.
