Grant Shows The Way On Asquith Senior Tour

AKELEY, Pa — Shelly Grant was the medalist with a 75 in the White A Flight of the Asquith Senior Tour on Monday at Cable Hollow Golf Course,

Grant’s round gave him second place in the White A Flight, which was led by Dave Stewart with plus six, Grant was a plus four and Bruce Blume was a plus four.

In the White B Flight, Ted Charles had an 85 and won this flight with a plus six, Bill Anderson had a plus four and Paul Bell had plus three.

Don Hustead had an 83 and was tops in the Gold A Flight with a plus six, Paul Olkowski was second with zero and Dave Allen a minus 1 for third place.

Dennis Richards was a plus nine in the Gold Flight with Jim Palermo second with a plus five and Ken Aldrich third with a plus four. Don Aldrich was the medalist with an 85.

Jim Caronia led the Gold C Flight with 90 and a plus 10. Lynn Butcher was second with a plus three and Jim Fincher had a plus one.

Ed Potter led the Gold Flight with a plus seven followed by David Nichols with a plus five and Dave Nagy with a plus four. Norm Thomas had the lowest score with 100.

Paul Edsel was closest to the pin on No. 2, Charles on No. 5 and Olkowski on No. 17.

Holiday Valley Golf Course in Ellicottville is the site next Monday with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
