Cougars Run Record To 14-0

SINCLAIRVILLE–Cassadaga Valley (14-0, 10-0) picked up an 8-3 non-league win over Maple Grove on Monday afternoon as Brittyn LeBaron fanned four, walked one and relinquished five hits in the circle for the winners while going 3 for 3 at the plate.

Bella Ruiz worked the final two innings for the winners, giving up two hits. Offensively, Holly Crandall added three hits, Savannah Nickerson had two hits with a double and four RBIs, and Hannah Edwards chipped in two hits in the win.

Lynne Nordine fanned four, walked one and gave up 14 hits for the Red Dragons. Meghann Nolan had a single, a triple and two RBIs, Tessa Warner had two singles and Elise Swanson added two singles for Maple Grove.

RAIDERS FALL ON ROAD

HAMBURG –Frontier posted an 8-1 Erie County Interscholastic Conference Division 1 win over Jamestown (1-11, 1-11) thanks to a two-RBI double from Amy Canale and two singles with an RBI from Olivia Weller.

Brittney McAndrews fanned eight and Fiona Higgins four in the circle for the winners, while Morgan Brightman struck out three and walked two for Jamestown.

Madison Christ cracked an RBI single for the Red Raiders.
