Cummings Recognized

Chautauqua Lake Central School recently honored Mike Cummings in recognition of his 35-year coaching career in the district and at the former Mayville Central School. Principal Josh Liddell, who supervises athletics at CLCS, congratulated Cummings on a “remarkable” coaching career and thanked him for all he has done to support and guide young athletes, commenting, “You have had a significant positive impact on many of our student athletes.” Cummings currently coaches modified girls and boys basketball, but over his extensive career has also coached football, baseball, softball, boys volleyball and golf. He is currently K-12 physical education director and teaches physical education for kindergarten through grade 4, and he has been a Special Olympics volunteer.
