Raiders Lose Varsity Title Game In Buffalo

BUFFALO — The Jamestown Raiders’ Western New York High School Club Hockey League varsity season came to an end Friday night with a 4-1 loss to Royalton-Hartland in the Mixed Division championship game at KeyBank Center.

Blade Ellis scored the lone goal for the Raiders, who qualified for this weekend’s state tournament at Northwest Arena.

Jamestown’s JV team won the Mixed Division championship game, 3-0, over Iroquois/Alden on Saturday at HarborCenter. Cooper Spielman, Jackob Guimond and Cooper Bergman scored for the Raiders with assists from William Turner, Tristan Spillane, Luke Tota, Bergman, Devin Wolfe and Lucian Talbett.

Jack “Eddie” Yost earned the shutout in net for the Raiders, who will play in the JV state tournament this weekend at Hyde Park Ice Pavillion in Niagara Falls.
