Adult Basketball

In Week 5 of the YMCA Community First basketball league Shooterz defeated PhoneZone in double-overtime, 100-94, thanks to 35 points by Chris Vega while Kevin Diaz added 28 and Fran Lantigua had 16.

Joseph F. Walton and Chris Alphonso Taylor each added 12 points in the win while PhoneZone was led by Michael McGaughy with 36 points, Calvin Nicklaus Thomas Jr. with 17, Zack Crouch and Joey Giorgentti with 15 apiece and Tim Johnson with 11.


Yatt Fam took care of the Young Boys, 107-60, behind Rob Turner’s 26 points, Carlos Rivera’s 24, Kevin Mosley’s 22. Jordan White had 19 and Devin Hicks scored 14.

Jackboy Rondo finished with 22 points in the loss while Evan Hanna added 11, Andrew Devereaux had 10 and Alex Aversa scored 8.


Ol’ Skool remained undefeated, beating HOF 89-75, thanks to 43 points from Maceo Wofford.

Blake Johnson added 24 in the win while Dean Stockwell and Ryan Anderson grabbed 8 points apiece.

Mel Henley finished with 6 points in the win while A.J. McFadden led HOF with 21 points

Shawn Laney grabbed 15 for HOF, Sam Eckstrom had 12, Max Portlow scored 11 and Fred Russell had 9.


Team Alonge finished off J&J Bros, 77-67, thanks to 30 points from Austin Alonge, 12 from Tanner Dahl, 10 from Ryan Nord, 8 from Anthony Barone and 6 apiece from Joshua Clark Colwell and Dillon McCubbin.

Matt Woodard and Nick Baglia each finished the loss with 15 points while Tyler Cappa added 14, Andy Greenlee 11 and Luke Greenlee 8.
