BOYS BASKETBALL, STEPHEN CRISANTI, PINE VALLEY. Stephan Crisanti picked up 29 points and nine rebounds in a 52-34 win over Cattaraugus-Little Valley on Monday before tallying 19 points, eight rebounds and four steals in a 61-22 win over North Collins on Thursday. The Panthers lost a close game, 54-50, against Clymer on Saturday in which the senior totaled 14 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.
GIRLS BASKETBALL, JESSE ZENNS, CHAUTAUQUA LAKE. Jesse Zenns led the Lady Thunderbirds to a championship at the Waste Management Tournament at Pioneer with 17 points and nine rebounds in a 61-36 win over West Seneca West in the title game on Sunday. On Friday, Zenns had 18 points and 12 rebounds in a 54-47 win over Mt. Mercy, while the senior had 17 points, 10 rebounds, three steals and two blocks in a 74-36 win over Falconer on Tuesday.
WRESTLING, DAN TORRES, FALCONER/CASSADAGA VALLEY. Dan Torres was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler at the Patrick J. Morales Tournament on Saturday after picking up five wins on the day, including two pins, handing undefeated Bryce Rowe of Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Panama his first loss of the season via a 1-0 decision to earn the 160-pound championship. Torres also picked up a pin over Ceric Kristan on Wednesday in a time of 5:21 in a 63-17 win over Fredonia. The Golden Falcons finished second in the Morales team standings.
BOYS SWIMMING, DREW POWNALL, FREWSBURG/SOUTHWESTERN On Tuesday, Drew Pownall was a double winner as Frewsburg/Southwestern earned a 113-67 win over Dunkirk/Fredonia/Silver Creek/Forestville/Cassadaga Valley/Brocton, taking home the 50-meter freestyle (26.78) and 100-meter freestyle (1:00.26). On Thursday, Pownall claimed the 100-meter breaststroke in 1:17.47 and the 50-meter freestyle in 26.02 in a 94-89 win at home against Panama/Chautauqua Lake/Maple Grove.
BOYS BOWLING, AUSTIN ALDRICH, JAMESTOWN Austin Aldrich helped the Red Raiders earn a 4-0 shutout win over Fredonia at Jamestown Bowling Company on Monday, throwing a 258-224-650 to add to a team linescore of 1,162-1,042-1,093-3,297. The win improved Jamestown to 24-4 on the year.
GIRLS BOWLING, OLIVIA CORBETT, DUNKIRK. On Monday, Olivia Corbett rolled a 225-205-185-615 for the Marauders in a 4-0 weep of Falconer at Lucky Lanes. Dunkirk improved to 26-2 on the season with a team linescore of 977-916-853-2,747.
