MAYVILLE — A long stretch of forfeit points at higher weights combined with three victories via fall, were enough to push Olean to a 51-33 Chautauqua Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 wrestling victory over host Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Panama on Wednesday night.

The Huskies claimed wins at 113, 170, 182, 195 and 220 pounds thanks to a depleted Thunderbirds roster, while Nate Gabler was able to pick up a pin of Trent Burchanowski at 106 in 41 seconds.

Olean also received pins from Nick Bierfeldt at 120 over Brendon Rowe in 2:43, and Icar Simon at 152 over Noah Dorman in 24 seconds.

Leading the Thunderbirds with pins were Hunter Harris at 99 pounds, Austin Bourgeois at 126, Brendan Ramsey at 132, and Bryce Rowe at 160.

SINCLAIRVILLE — Falconer/Cassadaga Valley (4-0, 22-5) remained undefeated in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 action after picking up a 63-17 win over Fredonia on Wednesday on senior night at Cassadaga Valley High School.

The Golden Cougars received pins from Dan Torres (160), Jordan Dustin (170), Robbie Penhollow (182), Dillon Hokanson (195), Corey Keefe (220), Brayden Newman (99), Brodie Little (106) and Trenton Colburn (113) as they coasted to victory.

Torres prevailed in 5:21 over Ceric Kristan to lead the way for the Cassadaga Valley seniors.

Major decision wins for the Hillbillies came from Dalton Gardner at 132 pounds and Hector Colom at 145, while Yaniel Acevedo earned a pin at 285 in 56 seconds against Chase Johnson.

The closest match of the evening came at 126, where Brandon Wallace was able to decision Tony Fiasco of Falconer/Cassadaga Valley, 8-6.

The winners also had Mushirah Sheppard pick up a pin on Lizzie Hines in 2:41 at 120 pounds, while Clayton Frentz earned a pin at 113 over Liam Long in 2:48 in the loss.
