JHS Impresses At Swim Meet Vs. Sweet Home

AMHERST — Jamestown swimming and diving (3-1) suffered its first Erie County Interscholastic Conference Division 1 loss to Sweet Home on Tuesday, as the Panthers fought their way to a 108-75 win.

The Red Raiders posted 18 season-best times, including six Section VI Championship qualifying times.

Alex Aversa claimed the lone individual win with 140 points in the 1-meter dive, while the 200-free relay team of Matt Roehmholdt, Beck Anderson, Kyle Dean and Brennan Roehmholdt took home a win with a time of 1:40.06.

Section VI qualifying times came in the 200-yard medley relay as the team of Beck Anderson, Joseph Roehmholdt, Phillup Harris and Brennan Roehmholdt clocked a 1:56.11; Joseph Roehmholdt produced a 2:15.25 in the 200-yard individual medley; Matt Roehmholdt posted a 25.23 in the 50-yard freestyle; Brennan Roehmholdt clocked a 51.09 in the 100-yard freestyle; Kyle Dean posted a 53.16 in the 100-yard freestyle; and Jacob Anderson clocked a 5:31.08 in the 500-yard freestyle.
