YOUNGWOOD, Pa. — Haley Hettenbaugh led a balanced scoring attack as the Jamestown Community College women downed Westmoreland County CC, 70-59, in an NJCAA Division II basketball game Wednesday.
Hettenbaugh tallied 17 points, highlighted by three 3-pointers, but had help from a host of teammates. Hayden Burgeson tallied 15 points, Alexis Rodenbaugh added 11, Emilee Sperry chipped in with 10, Olivia Lynn had 9, and Taylor Phelps and Nicole Johnson each had 7.
The victory raised the Jayhawks’ record to 10-3 in their first game in the second semester.
While the women last played on Dec. 13, they showed little rust as they opened up a 38-24 lead at the break and held off the hosts in the second half.
