In Week 1 of the Next Level Men’s Basketball League the three-time defending champions Ol’ Skool picked up a 73-59 win over Phonezone thanks to 44 points from Maceo Wofford, 12 from Dean Stockwell, 8 from Dylan Monroe and 7 by Mel Henley.
Jake McBride picked up a team-high 23 points in the loss while Joey Giorgentti had 13, Calvin Nicklaus Thomas Jr. 12 and Michael McGaughy 11.
Shooterz rolled past the Young Boys, 81-59, as Chris Vega poured in 27 points, Kevin Diaz added 20, Joseph Walton had 18 and Ryan Williams scored 12.
Returning fire for the Young Boys were Steven Wofford with 20 points and Jackboy Rondo with 14 points while P.J. Zilich and Andrew Devereaux each picked up 8 points.
HOF took care of team Alonge in its first game of the season thanks to Elijah Ramadhan’s 22 points as well as 20 from Arnim Alexander, 13 from A.J. McFadden and 10 from Charles Perry.
Team Alonge was led by 21 points from Joshua Clark Colwell, 9 from Nolan Swanson and 7 from Austin Alonge.
The Yatt Family earned a 92-63 win over J&J Bros. thanks to 30 points from Joe Spencer, 27 from Jordan White, 16 from Zacc Micah Kinsey, 11 from Kevin Mosley and 9 by Carlos Rivera.
Jake Burkholder had 18 points and Tyler Cappa scored 16 in the loss.
