BOYS BASKETBALL, DEVIN POPE, CHAUTAUQUA LAKE. Pope erupted for 40 points, and had nine rebounds and nine steals in a loss at Franklinville on Monday and came back with 31 points, 13 rebounds and five steals in a win over Westfield on Thursday.
GIRLS BASKETBALL, ALANNA DIBBLE, SOUTHWESTERN. Dibble scored 18 points and grabbed 24 rebounds in a win over Fredonia on Wednesday and had 16 points and 15 rebounds in a victory over Warren in the United Way Showcase at Jamestown High School on Saturday.
WRESTLING, DYLAN INGRAO, FALCONER/CASSADAGA VALLEY. Ingrao won the 152-pound title at the Southern Tier Wrestling Officials Association Tournament on Saturday, downing Eisenhower’s Spencer Head, 4-2, and in the process broke Jake Peru’s school record for victories with his 192nd. Earlier in the week, he had pins against wrestlers from Randolph and Dunkirk/Silver Creek.
BOYS SWIMMING, COLE MANWARING, PANAMA/CHAUTAUQUA LAKE/MAPLE GROVE. Manwaring was a double winner in a 95-88 winner over Frewsburg/Southwestern on Tuesday, claiming the 50-freestyle and 100-yard backstroke.
BOYS BOWLING, KYLE CHRISTENSEN, JAMESTOWN. Christensen rolled a 234-253-675 to lead Jamestown to a 4-0 win over Southwestern on Wednesday at Jamestown Bowling Company.
GIRLS BOWLING, JUSTICE EDENS, JAMESTOWN. Edens fired a 233-550 to spark Jamestown to a 4-0 win over Southwestern on Wednesday at Jamestown Bowling Company.
