Fredonia claimed a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 boys bowling match over Falconer on Wednesday at Jamestown Bowling Company, 3-1, thanks to a linescore of 946-932-852-2,730 while the Falconer girls picked up a 4-0 win with a line of 667-676-734-2,077.
The Fredonia (6-2) boys were led by Trace Mackenzie’s 256-611, Jacob Patterson’s 223-244-638 and a 204 single by Josh Ellman.
Falconer (2-6) spun an 870-901-879-2,650 with Jon Zdunski rolling a 197-203-582, Jackson Fowler a 221 single, Matt Bowman a 192 single, Matt Gullotti a 192 single and Jacob Chapman a 194 single.
The Falconer (8-0) girls were led by Amelia Sprague’s 163-164 and McKayla Scott’s 164-159; while Fredonia (0-8) spun a 648-606-623-1,877 with Jillian Reed firing a 167-172.
Jamestown claimed a pair of Division 1 wins over Silver Creek at Jamestown Bowling Company, with the boys spinning a 1,032-1,006-979-3,017 and the girls a 780-701-648-2,129.
In the boys match for the Red Raiders (5-3), Austin Aldridge spun a 234-213-653, Zack Ryberg a 217-611, Kyle Christensen a 214-605 and William Ploetz a 215-599.
Silver Creek ripped a 671-717-766-2,154 with Cory Patterson spilling a 200-554.
The Jamestown (7-1) girls were led by a 201 single for Emily Ryberg and a 176 single from Justice Edens, while Silver Creek spun a 652-657-674-1,983.
RANDOLPH BLANKS BROCTON
FREDONIA — Randolph earned a Division 2 win over Brocton at Lucky Lanes on Wednesday evening behind a linescore of 710-720-667-2,097, with Tyler Rowley leading the way with a 202-547 and Noah Barber firing a 190-477.
Brocton spilled a 654-591-608-1,853 with Jordan Krystofiak ripping a 246-603 to lead the way.
SNOW ROLLS 693 SET
FREDONIA — Forestville’s boys lost to Frewsburg, 4-0, on Wednesday, but the Hornets won the girls matchup, 3-1, in Division 2 play at Lucky Lanes.
Forestville (8-4) had a 742-763-723-2,228 in defeat. Phil Narraway rolled a 503 series, while Marshall Hallowell recorded a 498 series.
For Frewsburg, Josh Snow went for 214-217-262-693 and Caleb Terhune charted a 267-649.
The Hornets (11-1) had 635-626-549-1,810 to Frewsburg’s 489-570-607-1,666 on the girls side.
Ashley Forbes bowled 194-508 and Tristian Olsen scored a 196-485 for Forestville.
The Bears’ Emily Zamborik had 157-447 while Kaitlyn Bean put in a 166-416.

FREDONIA — Dunkirk’s boys and girls bowling teams both shut out Southwestern in Division 1 action at Lucky Lanes.
The Marauders (8-0) wrote down a score of 860-775-738-2,373 while Southwestern (0-8) recorded a 625-626-535-1,786 score on the girls side.
Hannah Ellman rolled a 193-183-164-540, Rachel Glowniak bowled a 220-176-134-530, Olivia Corbett had a 191 single and Makayla Pasierb had a 172 single for Dunkirk.
Southwestern was led by Alexis Berry with a 170-145-132-447, Lauren Kimball with a 154 single and Morgan Wilson with a 148.
In the boys competition, Dunkirk (8-0) had an 820-805-897-2,522 and the Trojans spilled a 610-736-732-2,078.
Brady Corbett, a seventh-grader making his first varsity start for the Marauders, rolled the team’s high game with 210. Dunkirk’s Trevor Skelly recored a score of 179-207-201-587, while Jaxson Pencek had a 191-147-156-494 and Tristan Skelly came up with a 182 single.
The Trojans saw Alex Nelson go for a 149-186-189-524. Jordan Smith rolled games of 178 and 152 while Hans Vanderzyden had a 153 single.
